Have any of you noticed the mystery subscription service being offered on the Robotime online store? What do you think about it? Would you want to try it? Why or why not? There are different categories you can pick like ROKR, Book Nook, or mixed.
I like the mystery aspect. If I were to purchase this service I would want a check list of kits that I already have so I don’t receive any doubles. The service is a pretty big investment so I would want some guarantee that I’m not buying kits I already own.
It’s kind of funny that it says “freshness”. You don’t want to receive a kit that has gone stale. lol. I wonder if they mean they will send new releases.
I know of this haha it would’ve been so much fun but it’s a little too costly for me. Can’t quite justify it when I have so many backlogs waiting for me but maybe in the future when I’m done procastinating and can build as a full time job!
It does say on the website that you can inform customer service of what you already own so you don’t get duplicates. I would love to know if anyone is a subscriber!
Same here. I feel just like @JDisaduck! It sounds really fun, but it’s a bit too expensive for me right now. Maybe one day, when my backlog magically disappears heheh. I’m also curious if anyone here has tried it!
I saw this on the site too and I found it costly for me unfortunately. It would be fun if the monthly subscription is a completely new kit and exclusive only to subscribers - but that’s just wishful thinking
i have seen it but not looked at it, so no clue what the cost are. i like to be in controle of what i build en when haha so dont know if this is something for me.

Thanks for your thoughts on the mystery subscription! While there isn’t a specific checklist available on the store, after placing an order, our customer service team will follow up via email. They usually ask about the kits you already own, your preferred product types, and any categories you’d rather not receive. Some customers have even requested to avoid certain types of kits, so it’s definitely possible to give your preferences before your first shipment.
And yes, “freshness” usually refers to sending newly released kits, so you’ll always get something new to enjoy!
I’ve seen this on the website too. I think it would be nice to be surprised, but right now I still have a lot to do. Maybe I’ll try it out sometime in the future when I’ve reduced my stash a bit.
