Yesterday, I built a giant villa for my little hamster at home .
It has a two-story wooden house, a food bowl, an external water bottle, an attached bathroom, and even a treadmill for exercise.
Although it’s not a Rolife product, I completely assembled it myself!
The wooden house was a bit small, so I had a clever idea: I used a cereal box with a pair of socks and some kapok inside to keep my hamster warm during winter
When I put him inside, he was so happy, running here, exploring there, and taking breaks to recharge, so adorable! That said, hamsters are nocturnal animals, so he didn’t stop at night. This morning when I got up for work, he had finally worn himself out and was back in his nest sleeping, haha.
No matter what kind of craft it is, the moment it’s completed always brings a huge sense of satisfaction and accomplishment
This also makes me really curious: what would you create for a pet house?
Feel free to share your DIY pet house ideas to me~
I’d love to see everyone’s creativity and imagination!
I love it, it’s super original!! I’ve seen people building little houses, like Super Creator kits style kits, for their hamsters, and I think it’s brilliant. When I was little, the most I did was save up to buy them the biggest house I could find so they could live happily, surrounded by luxury .
As for me now, the most I’ve done is assemble the scratching post for my cats (which is quite big and sturdy because they’re big, and the orange one weighs 7 kg!!!). And how did I assemble it? Crooked… but it doesn’t fall and I have no idea how to fix it. It will be like this forever!! I’ll post a photo as proof of my actions:
Haha, I’m seriously considering the “no humans allowed” rule!
Your ideas for the front desk, the spa wheel, and the lucky treat corner are amazing. For the next upgrade, I might combine some Rolife Super Creator parts to make them all happen! (Though first, I’ll need some strong glue, I definitely don’t want my carefully crafted little creations to get chewed up by him )
Haha, wow, I guess this can only be found in a five-star cat resort. Who knows, maybe in ten years we’ll have a nearly 1,000-square-meter mansion! Then we could fit such a luxurious cat nest~
Haha, wow, this sounds amazing! I totally get the “crooked but it works” vibe, sometimes the imperfect builds are the ones that survive the longest! The Kitty must feel like a king on that throne If I weren’t allergic to cat fur, I probably would have gotten a cat a long time ago. But now I have a dog and a hamster at home, and they make me very happy.
We had a little chocolate colored hamster like yours. His name was Hershey. I love the little house, but wont he chew it? Mine would. Even the plastic ones, they would chew on! They are so darn cute.
Aww, Hershey sounds super adorable! Haha, yes, they love chewing on everything! I made a big little hideout for my furball out of a metal oatmeal tin, and the main mansion is acrylic, so there’s nothing it can actually gnaw on… So far it hasn’t chewed its house, but I still have to keep a close eye on it!
