So, Fire Builders, what creation shows your brightest spark?
My creation represented by fire was my Mayan Pyramid diorama. It took months of planning and execution. It challenged me and I learned so much about my talent, my limitations and my ability. All things I love! To be challenged and succeed, to spark creativity and shine, to choose representation and become a model of that. All of these were present for me in this work of love. My ancestors and my family were represented in this. Because of that my pride in self and who I am and where I came from were truly meaningful to me.
My recent kit i build The Rolife Sakura blossom tree house is definelty a “I did it” moment! It took me 1.5 weeks to complete and it is fully customized and very bright might i add, Im proud of myself for being able to customize a kit like this! Completely different from the original and i love it. I am so proud of me and my bright kits.
That was definitely the one in the picture, it was for sure a challenge to me and took some pushing thru to finish it, took me weeks but it did it in the end
The light from a Fire has always guided those who are lost in the dark, and I would like my Starry Camelia Lamp to take that place. I wishing everyone can passed thought their darkest time with a Fire But please don’t use the fire to burn people no matter how you hate them…
The excitement i felt while building the Coffee Factory was like fire! And the anticipation at every test point, the feeling of accomplishment when it all worked. I love it!!
The London Marble Run is the build that really got me excited about what I could do with planning and creativity. I’ve never considered myself to be creative or have any artistic skills, but I proved myself wrong with this one. After this one I’ve been on a burst of energy and ideas. Planning, making notes, downloads of art to use on the kits on my queue…all a part of my every day…
I feel very identified with Fire: Passion. One creation that really shows my brightest spark is this customized version of Elsa’s Tailoring, which I turned into “El taller de Olimpia” inspired by my grandma. Sharing this hobby with her and creating something so personal and meaningful made it even more special to me. It’s a project full of love, creativity, and heart, and that’s exactly what building means to me
I almost hate when I have to pick a favorite! I have so very many! and with each build and customization I have gained knowledge to press myself even farther.
With the encouragement of my friends here on this community, I felt confidence to let my passion go and change things up. I was excited to try something more. My builds became more challenging and my customization skills grew (at least in my mind they did!)
The first build where I let my creativity fly was the Cheers bar. I started with the floor. It was read and white squares. I made it wood. The wall was a bright orange. I toned it down with some dry brushing of browns. OMG I was beyond excited.
The fire was burning now! I went so far as to say I got this! I went on to build the Seahorse Barque. This to me spoke of real beauty. To this day I look upon her and think, how the heck did I do that?!
My skills were growing, my confidence high, and the passion unstoppable. I think I was customizing everything at this point.
This final one is probably one of my favorites - Catherine’s Living room. Almost every piece was changed in some way. I made my own rug, created a new wallpaper, redid the fireplace, painted a Tiffany-style lamp, and fashioned the sofa to be like mine. I even painted the throw cover.
