I’ve made a lot of progress since my last post. It’s funny how I can spend hours building this kit , but when it comes down to it, it’s the tiny details that always impress me more than the larger items.
Today I built the cliffside homes. I painted all of the roofs to be a coral color instead of the red color they came as. Coral seems more like an ocean front color than red.
Omg the little buildings are so cute and you did such a good job putting them all together!! I love how cozy this kit feels and how it’s like a new vacation. I would absolutely travel there!
HA! I struggled so much with this one that I don’t even recall the pool on the roof. Maybe I missed it…LOL! I will have to check when I get home on Friday. I am happy to see that things are going well for you.
@Nita_Davis I almost missed the step to add th pool. It’s one of the cardstock pieces that you glue to the wood part. It was labeled small and I saw it when I was double checking my steps
@Jo1 I like the record player too, but it seems like a weird think to put on a window sill. I guess since it’s near the chair, it’s easy to listen to music outside that way. Lol
@Tkaplan the coral roofs were such a thoughtful choice for Sunset Isle. The tiny rooftop pool, fountain, tunnel road, and cliffside homes really show why the small details can be the most memorable part of a build. It already feels like a miniature vacation spot.
