So…i started my second flower today which is the Red carnation flower..im having the same problems as @Jo1 but with the Red carnation, with wood slots not fitting or slotting in, pieces litterely shedding my skin just by trying to get them in..any tips on how to help? I dont have any wax and i just want a non broken flower at the end of it ![]()

Sandpaper in between tabs is helpful…a birthday candle will work for wax. There should be wax in your space shuttle.

Do you have a birthday candle or tea light? It will work and seriously make a difference.
Some have used Vaseline, I have read a few positive and negative responses with that
I dont use candles because of my fear of fire..but i do keep vaseline
You could buy wax. But I think glue would probably be more helpful.
She needs the wax to help get the petal even in to the slot. That was my understanding. Glue wont help much until inserted at least somewhat

You can try to sand the wood if it’s not fitting. That’s what I do
and don’t try to force connecting the woods so no piece would be broken.
