Deep in the shadowy heart of an ancient forest, hidden far beyond where ordinary travelers ever dare to wander, sits Raven’s Nest. To the rest of the world, the little shop is completely invisible, blanketed beneath towering pines, hanging moss, and a gentle dusting of autumn mist. But to witches, warlocks, and magical beings everywhere, it is the most famous secret in existence the ultimate sanctuary for anyone needing to gather the true necessities for their craft.
I took the original corner bookstore kit and transformed it into Raven’s Nest, a hidden, tucked-away sanctuary where witches, warlocks, and practitioners of the unseen arts go to gather their magical supplies. To give it an authentic, ancient feel, I shifted the whole palette to dark, rich fall tones, hand-sculpting miniature pumpkins out of clay for the very first time, painting them deep orange, and sealing them with Mod Podge for a glossy finish. I even drilled a tiny hole through a real acorn top to make a custom sign, hanging it near the updated main banner and a chalkboard reading “Gather Your Magic”. Inside, I weathered everything to look old, shadowy, and mysterious, draping stretched cobwebs across the roof and shelves, swapping standard book covers for custom spellbooks, labeling a storefront barrel with “Hex Salt”, and adding a sign pointing next door to the Potion Room. To finish off the look, I darkened the flowers and plants so they look withered, layered in rich autumn foliage, and topped the hanging lamps with delicate glass beads.
Raven’s Nest is such an incredible transformation! I love how you completely changed the feeling of the Corner Bookstore with the dark autumn colors, weathering, spellbooks, Hex Salt, and all those tiny magical details. The little acorn sign and handmade pumpkins are such beautiful touches too. It really does feel like a secret shop hidden deep in an enchanted forest!
