Question: Likes Limit

Hello! I’ve actually been in the Robotime Community all day, reading and enjoying the different inquiries and ideas. This is the first time I’ve received a notification like this—does a limit really exist? And how can I increase my trust level? I’m so into liking all these creative ideas and stories!

It’s not about a trust issue…(well, sort). I think they want to make sure you are not a bot. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been a member for 6 days or 6 months, you are limited on the number of likes you can give.

I’ve got this myself on a couple of occasions. I just wait it out.

Hahaha yeah it happens! I always try and bookmark the posts and comments so I can go back and return the like when mine regenerates.

Hi! That’s good question~

Thanks for being so active and enjoying all the creative ideas and stories here!

About the like limits and trust levels: originally there were limits to prevent bots and stop people from farming points too quickly. One idea we’re thinking about is removing the like limit while also removing like points. This way everyone can freely like posts without affecting scores.

We’d love to hear what you all think~ would you like this change?

Ah that’s understandable. Thank you, this helps

Thank you for answering @Robotime

I think removing the like limit while also removing like points sounds like a positive change. It keeps the spirit of freely appreciating posts without worrying about scores or farming, while still protecting the integrity of trust levels. People could focus more on genuine engagement and creativity rather than numbers.

It also creates the possibility of people giving likes just to score points…which seems to be the norm lately. By having a limited number of likes, it tends to make people actually LIKE stuff that they do like…instead of scrolling thru every post and liking every post and every comment…for points. It really doesn’t help with interaction at all in my opinion.

You say that people can freely like posts (without affecting scores) so are you planning to remove the points scored from Getting a like? This pretty much leaves the only options for points at posting and commenting…I think people should be a bit more choosy about where they share their likes. ANYBODY can scroll thru all day long and like everything under the sun…Just my opinion. I think it just becomes a tit for tat game at that point.

I always get that notification. Actually, there’s a limit of heart like that you can give per day.

For me, it’s okay that the like has limits per day. I like all the posts here but it’s good that it has points and limits too so it can’t be abused. The like is still regenerate after minutes or hours so you can like again. But the decision is still yours. I will respect it. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Removing points for Giving likes sounds like a good plan, I don’t max out my likes per day on most days, However I love liking everything that makes me happy, and I think we should be free to keep liking whatever post/comments we liked

Keeping the points for Receiving likes makes more sense, this shows more quality of work and sense to community. Either way I think you guys will make the best decision and thanks for asking for feedback! This is your page and please do whatever feels right for you! Regardless we will be here points or not on likes! We have built a community that loves what we do <3… However, to be clear I think it needs to be earned to give likes freely. If someone is not active or newly joined, they should be limited- Let’s say they have never posted anything? Limited to 30 likes per day. Perhaps ensuring 10 Quality post before being given the chance to like with no limits.

The goal is:
-Active members should be rewarded with the power to give unlimited likes
-Points cannot be earned from Giving likes, but from Receiving likes
-Any members that doest post or have less than 10 Quality post should be limited as they need to be Active to give out points.
-Have a clear criteria on what it means to have a Quality post.

I completely agree with you! :raising_hands: Removing points for giving likes makes sense—it keeps the focus on genuine engagement rather than just clicking. I also love the idea of keeping points for receiving likes since that really reflects the quality of posts and contributions to the community.

I tend to agree.
I have no problem with the cap on likes. I like because I agree with what is said, or genuinely like the post.
I don’t think removing the line cap is beneficial.
