Progress #3 - Merriment Mansion

I moving along very slowly on this build. It’s pretty time consuming, but oh so fun!

I ran into a bag of more broken parts (thanks to the person it was purchased from. I was really frustrated because I didn’t think I it would be easy to replace circles I needed in order to make two double layer chandeliers.

These black pieces were supposed to be two circles with 8 holes in them. The chandeliers were supposed to end up looking like this…

But since I couldn’t fix those pieces, I came up with the idea of twisting a gold and silver wire together and shaping it into a circle. Since I also make stained glass, I had a soldering iron on hand, so I soldered the ends of the twisted wire as it made a circle around a water bottle cap that happened to be the perfect size that I needed the ring to be.

Then I used the rest of the supplied pieces to make two chandeliers. I really loved the outcome and I like that the metal ring adds some extra bling. lol

You are so clever! I never would have thought of doing that. I probably would have looked around to buy a chandelier instead lol

You’re so creative. :heart_eyes: I’m glad that you were able to resolve the issue. Is the seller will not provide any replacement parts? It’s a bit of unfair to receive broken pieces.

Thank you @Lacey !

@Jill_Francisco thank you!

@serenebliss_23 actually, a very kind stranger on Facebook that I’ve never met knew I had been looking for this kit and he found it for me. I got it from him for a good price, and even though it’s been frustrating I have really been enjoying the build! That being said, I will never buy anything but new again.:slightly_smiling_face:
