I’m afraid I don’t have any advice as I’ve never experienced this when using sandpaper. Hope you find some good tips from others!
@Sasa I am glad the pagoda and you have made up, but sore fingertips are no joke. Your cream routine is a good start, and short sanding breaks can help before your fingers get too angry at you. Hope the next round feels a little gentler.
@Grey74 the thimble tape tip is genuinely useful, especially for sanding days and hot glue moments. Little protective habits like that can make a long build feel much less punishing on the fingers. Thanks for sharing the photos too, they make the idea easy to understand.
Oh, that’s a great idea too, a nail file! I use the little square one that comes in the kit, and it wrecks my fingers.
Wow, you’re so lucky! Your fingers are strong.
I seldom sand but I can imagine the discomfort!
I hope there would be a balm for our sore fingers!
Believe me, if you build the pagoda, you’ll need it! @Grey74 advice is the best.
That is a brilliant idea @Grey74
I am very very hesitant to build it
Will keep the tip in mind. thanks!
Wow, I didn’t know about this either! :o I love it! It’s a great idea, thanks!
Because this way I only touch the wood
Glad you liked it ![]()

I have these as well but don’t use them as often. They are greater getting into little spaces though.
