[Pro Tips] Tiny Details And Glowing Fires Part Four

Today’s progress focused on the little side building section of the factory and honestly this area turned out so stinking cute.

I know I’ve seen a few people mention having trouble with the lighting here because the very end of the light string is needed for this section, but thankfully I was able to make it work pretty easily. I even had two extra light beads left over, so I arranged them into kind of a little “T” shape near the fireplace area to help brighten it up more, and I think it worked really well.

This section definitely took me longer because I spent a lot of extra time painting edges and touching up exposed raw wood areas. I may still go back and add a little more green paint on parts of the roof, but overall I’m really happy with how it’s turning out.

One thing I definitely wanted to mention is the little fireplace doors. You can really see the inside surfaces through them once the clear plastic pieces are attached, so before installing the plastic I painted the insides of the doors to help finish the look a little better.

Between the glowing fireplace and the tiny elf peeking out from the second story window, this has become one of my favorite little sections of the build so far.

That little side building section sounds absolutely charming! I can picture how cozy it must look with the glowing fireplace and that tiny elf peeking out from the second story window—it’s those kinds of whimsical details that make a build feel alive.

Wow great progress so far and you’re doing a good job painting the edges. You have an eye for detail.

And your update makes me want to build it all over again :smiling_face_with_tear:. But I glued that would only happen if I win it somewhere or something. I bought it already once, so I will not buy it again.

@Kim_Kieffer thank you for the post im taking it all on board! Its looking fantastic!:blossom::blossom::cherry_blossom::blossom::blossom:

It’s coming along so nicely. Isn’t that little fireplace just the cutest?

Oh this looks gorgeous!

Kim_Kieffer, the lighting solution near the fireplace sounds so clever. Using the extra light beads in that little T shape is a smart way to make the scene warmer. The extra edge painting and touch ups are the kind of details that make the factory feel finished.

I love the little elves in this kit. So cute. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

That fireplace sure is a beautiful part of the factory. I love that you were able to fit the lights perfectly on the flame.

This looks great! I also really like the fireplace and all the lights.
