👍 [Pro Tips] Progress #2 - Christmas Wreath

So, there’s a first for everything…I painted paper pieces. The gold pieces of paper that are provided in the kit didn’t really look gold and they didn’t match the metallic gold that I’m painting the edges of the ribbon with, so I decided to try painting the gold metallic over the gold paper. I think it’ll look fantastic! The second picture has the paper provided on the left, and the paper I painted on the right. Big difference.:slightly_smiling_face:

I started to do the same (painting the paper). I also sprayed my ribbon with glitter. Not liking the ends though and am thinking something needs to be done with them

I’m happy to see that you are trying new things. I always paint over paper when I don’t like the color. I painted over the orange bricks on my Christmas Lodge and I love the red bricks better. The Brick look still shows through except it’s red now instead of orange. Looking good

Oh that’s a nice gold! Did you use acrylic markers or paint?

I think your gold looks better. It’s much shinier.

The metallic gold looks so good. Is your paint in a tube? I need to find one of those

The gold is acrylic paint. The rest is acrylic markers.

No, it’s acrylic paint in a bottle. I think I got it at Walmart.

The ends of the ribbon are bothering me too. I’m going do something with them as well.

This turned out really nice! I’m in love with all the gold!

That was such a smart move, the difference is huge! The painted gold looks much richer and matches the ribbon perfectly. It’s going to elevate the whole wreath
