I promised I’d share a little tutorial on how I make my own miniature grass.
I’ve been experimenting quite a bit with my paper flower techniques, so I was pretty happy when I finally figured this one out! ![]()
I’ll just show you the simple way I make it. If anything is unclear, just ask and I’ll be happy to explain! ![]()
You’ll need:
- Green crepe paper
- Water-based craft glue, preferably one that dries fairly quickly
- Small, sharp scissors
- Prepare the paper
Cut a strip of crepe paper. Gently stretch it a little first — this makes the paper thinner and easier to cut.
- Make the grass
Fold the strip and cut lots of tiny strips along it, leaving one edge uncut. Once you’re done, gently pull the little strands apart.
- Glue it together
Add a thin line of glue along the uncut edge, fold/press it together and let it dry. Trim the bottom edge if needed.
- Make it thicker
Make several of these little grass strips and glue them together to create a fuller piece of grass.
- Trim!
Once everything is dry, simply cut and shape the grass until you’re happy with how it looks.
And that’s it! ![]()
You can make it as short, long, thick or messy as you want.
Hope you like it ![]()
