This had a precision tip, but I didn’t account for the fact that beads have holes in them ha ha
I was scared that I would glue my fingers again Kim. To be honest, I thought it was kind of funny to have a whole bead vase stuck to my finger.
I use a lot of glue even on kits that don’t really need it because I don’t want to lose little pieces when I move my kits around. I don’t usually use super glue but none of my other glues worked.
That’s why I keep a bottle of acetone beside my work area Jo. Even my glue wipes didn’t work for the superglue lol
Haha thats funny! I just recently bought the Revell Contacta Professional Glue, I’m excited to test it out!
Unfortunately l do use super glue heaps. Consequently l have lost some of my fingerprints with all the skin l have lost lol.
Actually, you just reminded me about that. I’ve been meaning to get it to help in my dolls house.
Oh dear. At least I know I’m not on my own. My finger is very tender today lol
Yeah, this is a good great tip & will be very helpful for many others also
Oh no!
That’s definitely one of those crafting lessons you only need to learn once. I’m glad you managed to save both your finger and the tiny vase in the end! Thanks for sharing the tip too. I can easily see myself making the exact same mistake, so this is a really helpful reminder. ![]()
I hope so Vinay. It caused quite a laugh when I told people at work.
That’s a very helpful video. Thanks so much for sharing @April_Jones
I can laugh about it now

Been there, done that. I now use b7000 instead of super glue and the magnetic clips to hold.
Oh Sue, this happened to me a lot at the beginning when I used the drop-style superglue! It always found a way to run everywhere except where I wanted it ![]()
I only use superglue when all else fails @jeanneL. I usually get a little in my fingers but this is the first time something has actually stuck to me like that ha ha
It’s very annoying Wendy.
(And highly amusing at the same time). April posted a great little video up above and it was very helpful. Superglue is only for when all else fails.
