I received this model quite a while ago, but only started working on it now. The reason is I needed to find a suitable automatic music mechanism for it.
When I opened the box, there weren’t many details, so I thought I wouldn’t have to worry about the completion time. However, the first difficulty I encountered was the lack of wax. I searched the box thoroughly hoping to find some, but couldn’t. Has anyone else experienced this?
I considered asking and waiting for support from Robotime, but after looking around, I decided to use candle wax and Vaseline as a substitute. Hopefully, it will work.
I love the color palette you chose. It’s going to give the finished model such a unique look! I haven’t had a kit arrive without wax before, but I have heard of it happening occasionally. Hopefully the candle wax works well as a substitute. I’ve seen a few builders use it successfully. @ThaoNguyen yeah really any wax will work, I have had to use a scented candle once and it worked fine and smelled great! lol. I have been wanting this one, I wanna see how you do on it and ill reconsider how it goes if I get it lol

I built one from Cutebee that didn’t come with wax either, and it’s full of gears.
