Our Robotime Meetup: Family Edition was a heartwarming success!
We had a total of 8 participants, including one curious walk-in who spotted our banners and decided to join in — a lovely reminder of how creativity naturally draws people in.
The kids’ ages ranged from 8 to 12 years old. Parents happily guided their younger kids through the building process, while the 12-year-olds confidently worked on their wooden flowers independently. In just 2 hours, everyone proudly completed their builds!
After crafting, the group relaxed over pizza and drinks, admiring each other’s beautiful creations and sharing stories. It was especially heartwarming to see the kids — particularly the girls — bond, make new friends, and connect over building and pizza.
Parents expressed how much they appreciated the event, and the kids sweetly said their thank-yous before we parted ways — moments like these truly made everything worthwhile. While hosting a kids’ event can be tiring, it was incredibly rewarding to see their smiles and the pride they felt in their accomplishments.
Aww Jill I came as soon as I can - before I run out of likes.
There’s always something special when kids are involved and you know I really wished I had the opportunity to attend something like this when I was younger. So well done to you for making this happen for them, it must not have been easy.
Just looking at their faces makes me smile. I hope your daughter made some long-lasting friends here!
You know, it’s always always more endearing when there’s more kids participating in arts. Shows how their parents adore and encourage arts in our modern societies nowadays
@Jill_Francisco OMG they are super cuteeeeee i love this so much!!! I know those flowers can get so finicky! I am glad they’re able to do it with big smiles! The venue looks so fab! I gotta remember to take pics of myself too! I was so busy I did not get pics with them!!!
It’s a sweet bond between their children and parents. It will bring them closer and a precious moment to hold when the kids have grownup. I’m sooo excited sa March.
