We have snow today in South Lake Tahoe and I thought that this would be a perfect backdrop for my A-frame cabin. We are big skiers so I made skis and poles using pieces of wood that I salvaged from my previous builds, and tooth picks.
I also added a tiny dog watching at the window, which my dog loves doing when he wants to greet other dogs (and coyotes and bears) outside.
And I’m a bubble tea fan so I have to include that in this cabin because…why not?
It brings me so much joy knowing that my husband wanted to showcase this for his patients in his clinic . I hope this will delight our Tahoe folks and give them a dose of happiness once they see it.
Your snow photos are great! Those little skiis and other details you added are also sooo clever and cute! Amazing work I would love to build this one eventually!
Thanks Nita. I was initially thinking about buying the premade ones online but I figured it’s a lot more heartfelt if I do it myself even if they’re not perfect.
That backdrop is absolutely perfect, it looks like your cabin belongs right there in the snow! I love all the little details you added, and the tiny dog in the window is adorable. Your creativity really shines in this scene.
