Welcome @Raeventures I think you will enjoy this group as you can become as involved as you like. No judgment, and we all share a common interest!
Rolife kits are where I first started building book nooks… I did the very first ones that Rolife released back in 2021, including the very first Sakura Densya, where you literally had to construct and paint all the edges and engraving was crude. This was before Rolife started using UV ink printing in 2022, and this process enhanced the construction of future kits from all other manufacturers as well. The change to the better suited MDF engineered wood also made construction sturdier and easier. One of the things I like to do is add lighting that I think would either correct a deficiency or enhance ambience. I think I have completed at least 20 Rolife kits so far…
I read that ROKR Robotime has released the Dreamy Coffee Factory in China… I’m hoping that it will be released on their website later this month instead of buying it from a third party vendor that has inflated the price.
I really enjoy these puzzles. I have a really high anxiety disorder and making these puzzles help me to stay calm and focus.
Thank you for so many wonderful choices to choose from.
My favorite ones are the music boxes and musical ones I’ve completed so far, Starry night, secret garden x2, moon and stars, owl clock, carousel, and the Chocolate Factory.
I am hoping to get the piano and violin soon.

@Suzanne_Jones Hiii, welcome to our community!!!
From the excitement of finishing all three kits to the irresistible urge to hunt for more, it sounds like you are truly hooked in the best way. The mix of creating, swearing, getting frustrated, and ending with that proud moment of display is something so many builders relate to, and we are thrilled that Robotime has become such a joyful part of your evenings and days off. ![]()
There’s a specific kind of magic in building the ROKR Chocolate Factory. It’s not just about ending up with a charming, vintage-style model—it’s about falling in love with the process of creating a tiny, functional world.
The joy is in the mechanical poetry. Slotting each wooden gear, aligning the conveyor belts, and connecting the crank feels like awakening a dormant machine. You’re not just gluing pieces; you’re engineering a miniature process. The moment you turn the handle for the first time and see the gears engage, the pistons press, and the tiny chocolate molds begin their journey along the belt is pure, unadulterated satisfaction. It’s a delightful puzzle where every piece has a purpose in the machine’s dance.
Beyond the mechanics, it’s an aesthetic delight. The warm, natural wood and the whimsical, steampunk-inspired design make the building process feel like crafting a heirloom. You watch a flat sheet of plywood transform into a complex, kinetic sculpture that’s as beautiful at rest as it is in motion.
Building the Chocolate Factory is a deeply rewarding experience—a perfect blend of tactile craftsmanship, mechanical intrigue, and nostalgic charm that makes you feel like both an engineer and an artist.
My Current Level (End of 2025): I would confidently place myself at Level 2 - Intermediate.
Looking back at my 2025 builds, like the ROKR Chocolate Factory and the Rolife Sakura Densya book nook, I’ve moved past simple structures. These kits required managing multiple detailed layers, integrating basic mechanical movement (gears, cranks), and handling small, precise parts that demanded patience. I’m comfortable with the challenge they present and enjoy the deeper immersion they offer.
The Level I’m Aiming for in 2026: My goal is to solidify my skills at Level 2 and take my first definitive step into Level 3 - Advanced.
In the coming year, I aim to complete at least one kit that incorporates complex linkages, more integrated mechanical components, or basic electrical elements like straightforward LED wiring. I want to move from kits that have a mechanism to kits that are a complex mechanism, truly testing my precision and problem-solving skills. The “advanced” tier is my next mountain to climb!
@iHanky Hoi Henk, welkom bij Robotime Community!!!
That sounds like an exciting journey
Once marble runs pull you in, it is hard to stop, and reaching level 3 while actively hunting for the most challenging builds is seriously impressive. We love your curiosity and drive to keep pushing your limits, and we hope Robotime continues to offer you plenty of tricky and rewarding kits to conquer next!!! ![]()
