I miss posting. I’m too busy these days. I try to squeeze a bit of building each time I could. I am currently working on my second book nook but it is not going so well.. waahh
couldn’t find the film. I know it is somewhere but i just dont have the patience anymore so I am using a plastic as a substitute. Luckily, it is at the back so Im sure no one would notice the difference.
My fingers sore a bit from pushing the wood. I notice that book nooks require more pushing to ensure that they snap together.
Still happy no matter what.. I love building even on busy and crazy days
Sorry to hear that you are having issues early in the build. Take that piece out, use super glue only in a tiny amount on both sides after you have properly positioned it back into its spot on the board.

Try gluing it back together; plus, everything in a book nook is very compact, so you might be able to camouflage it.
@joy.licerio oh I know the feelings you have. Life seems so busy at my work lately that I have a hard time wanting to build. But I force myself even to just an hour at night to get away and relax the mind. The sore fingers yuck. I use my thimble tape to help with that and it really helps to reduce the soreness on my fingers.
You’re not having much luck with things far. Sorry about that @joy.licerio. I find when I have issues with pushing boards together, I use a bit of wax to help. I currently use a white birthday candle because it’s perfect for getting into small spaces.

I completely relate! Even a few minutes of building can be such a nice escape on busy days. Don’t worry about the little mishaps. We all have those moments, and I honestly wouldn’t have noticed the plastic substitute if you hadn’t mentioned it! I also have to say, I absolutely love those yellow frames and doors. Yellow is my favorite color, so they immediately caught my eye. I can’t wait to see the finished book nook. Keep going, you’ve got this!
Thats the spirit! That what it is al about. You have the bad and the good thinks when building kits. And your aditude and spirit is the right one! Keep building and keep ketting some relax time
Oh no! I hate it when this happens to me (i usually lose the tiny screws) … i’m pretty sure this will look even better when you add your magic touch though. Good luck @joy.licerio
Oh no, breaking the wood is absolutely one of the worst things that could happen, especially when you’re already short on time.. Using plastic as a substitute is such a clever fix though, and I doubt anyone will ever notice
Oh no, don’t worry too much! Luckily, with the way it broke, I think a little superglue can fix it quite well. And honestly, finding creative substitutes when pieces go missing is part of the miniature-building adventure ehheeh
Actually, I didnt bother to glue it together anymore. I continued attaching the other parts and it was fine. A shelf covers the broken part thankfully so it isnt noticeable at all.

It is really frustrating when I want to build but I cant then if I find an extra time, all that i can think of is sleeping. LOL
I try to build in between - like 20 mins now, then later again. That’s the best that I can do these days.. wahhh
