New here - query re: scale and model railroads

Hello all! I am new to the Rolife, well, life! (my wife asked for some for Christmas and birthdays and I love them as well now)

My question is, and I apologize if this has been asked elsewhere, has anyone married Rolife up with model railroading and if so, what scale do you use? Or does anyone know what scale Rolife is in general? I am used to working with 28 mm models for tabletop gaming and am most knowledgeable on HO scale (1:87) and O scale (1:48 scale) model railroading. Thank you!

Kindest regards,

Jason Blackstone

Hi Jason, welcome to the community!!

Most Rolife kits are roughly 1:24 scale, which makes them a bit larger than typical HO (1:87) or O scale (1:48). Some people do adapt them to fit with model railroading by modifying or using selected pieces, but they aren’t designed to match a specific train scale. I, for example, try to customize and create the things I need for each kit I build. Hope that helps!

@Henry_Strangefellow Hi Henry, welcome to Robotime Community!

Wendy’s @Wenbare answer is correct! Our miniature house model is 1:24 scale.

Thank you Wendy and Rolife! That would actually work with the ideas I am running around in my head of using perception and distance.

Curious to what you come up with

It will be a while as we are still in an apartment… the execution anyway. But I will share my design elements as I work them out!

Hi RT what about the book nooks? Fir example the silent corner library, what is that scale ratio? It seems bigger than 1:24, but I’m new to all this so may be well off. Thank you
