I think one of my most favorite moments was when I spotted the little elf that sneaks out from behind the door that will slide open on the Dream Gift Factory. So much attention to details that goes into the tiniest things on these amazing models. This definitely made me pause and smile.
I’m going with a cheeky one this time.
My favourite Chinese element for the upcoming New Year is the red packets. ![]()
I love how they symbolise good luck, fortune and health, and how they carry the well wishes from the giver to the receiver.
But most importantly, who doesn’t love receiving money as a gift? ![]()
I’d like to wish the team and everyone who celebrates this festival, a very Happy New Year.

One thing I’d love to see from Robotime is the return of the older-style kits. They were packed with detail while still providing a satisfying challenge. ![]()

Back when I was an Early Childhood educator, Lunar New Year was one of my favourite time to celebrate. I loved seeing my students in their cultural attire, making crafts, and decorating the school. Even in Canada it felt like a mini festival every year.
….When I build Rolife kits, it is the tiny details that get me. Little petals, tiny tea cups, or miniature pastries make me stare at them like a proud parent. ![]()

Finishing a kit gives me that I am a genius feeling. Tricky steps conquered. Miniature doors perfectly aligned.
For the new year, I am dreaming of a theatre-style kit with curtains, stage props, and maybe even a tiny dramatic opera singer. I would build it like it is Broadway! ![]()
I will be my very own Christine Daaé singing All I ask of you while I glue together some pesky pieces lol….A complex chandelier ![]()
What you hope to see from Rolife or ROKR in the new year
I would like to see something related to Greek history. Maybe the Parthenon.
Nice idea @gregkerkyra
My favorite Chinese element is the combination of colors
the mix of red and golden is sooo gorgeous and give a feeling of elegance and power! All these combined with the ornaments ~ aahhh it’s so beautiful! I also have a lot of lucky cats in my bedroom hehehe
I forgot to add, Wishing all a happy, peaceful, and blessed Lunar New Year! I am grateful to be a part of this community and sharing in all the beautiful cultures and celebrations!
Every single build has given me pause. Tough to choose which gave me the most, one of the ships? or the Sakura Tree House. I am going to go with the Sakura Tree House. Not only was I in constant awe of its beauty (just like the ships) but the sense of peace and beauty that came over me as I built. From the bench to the stairs, the leaves, and the houses. I could not believe I was building this. I was picturing myself walking around the tree and looking up at this beautiful house. I began to climb the stairs and experience the different parts of the houses. I could look up and down and view the beautiful flowers. And then I could sit back and hear the rustle. So much peace and beauty!
I like the stage idea , can add custom moving picture from the back ![]()
You are so right. It is tough to pinpoint how many ‘special pause’ moments there are with so many fantastic builds. The details are always awe-inspiring. @jeanneL
I too love the bright red and gold combination! @camila_castro
I’ve always been drawn to the wood element in Chinese culture. It carries a sense of harmony, renewal, and that gentle push to begin again. I feel something similar whenever I build a Rolife/ROKR kit: piece by piece, something simple turns into something full of charm.
While crafting, there was a moment that really made me smile: when a mechanism finally clicked perfectly into place after several attempts. That little “at last!” moment is so satisfying and reminds me why I enjoy this hobby so much.
For the new year, I’d love to see Rolife and ROKR continue exploring themes inspired by Asian celebrations, with vibrant colors, clever details, and surprising mechanisms. Their designs always feel magical, and I’m excited to see what new miniatures they’ll bring in this coming cycle.
You are right! I think I tested mine every few pages!
Kind of like Sakura Super Creators! awww that would be beautiful!
It’s kind of addictive, isn’t it?
That audible “click” is such a satisfying feeling. I was pointing that out to my niece the other day when we were working on a flower together. She is only 11 but she is catching on quickly. @Andriu
Happy New Year to all our friends in China - enjoy your time at home with friends and family!
My favorite Rolife moment was building Silent Corner and finding that two of the “items” for the shelves were even tinier versions of Holiday Garden House TGB06 and Bookstore TGB07! I love the whimsical, winking sense of humor and love of inside jokes of the Rolife designer. ![]()
As for what I’d like to see - more of the same! You’re doing a great job and I look forward to every new release.
The sound of the click! It is wonderful! I experienced that a couple of times with my factory and boy did I breath a sigh of relief!
Yes! and to stop a moment and watch everything in motion!
WOW! That is pretty cool to have a ‘nook’ inside of a nook or mini-house. I have never seen that @NoodleSalad
