JeanneL New to Rolife

Hello all! I am excited to be a part of this community. My name is Jeanne. I am a retired nurse and educator. I came upon Rolife on Facebook. I kept seeing these BookNook things and started to research. High ratings for Rolife so I picked one up. My first one was the Baking Kitchen which I really enjoyed. I then picked another up at a craft store near me. I did not realize it was an older version and absolutely everything needed gluing. Not a fan of those timy tissue flowers as I just do not have the ability to make them that small! I completed none-the-less and it did turn out nice. I still have to make the black trim on the transparent roof and walls but will use my Cricut to cut those.
After discovering the difference in the older and newer versions I found what to watch for and picked up another. This last one was the Chocolate shop. Loved it! I look forward to more. (Hoping for some new, cool Christmas ones!)
It is awesome to see what others have done and to learn and grow! Here’s to this community!

Welcome @jeanneL :hugs: It’s nice to get to know you better. I’m also a nurse and a specialized wound care nurse. At work, I can cut and paste all day, and when I’m done, I continue crafting with the Robotime kits at home

As a retired instructor, I totally get the cutting and pasting (teaching Ostomy!) My mom was an enterostomal therapist RN and I know she had to get very creative at times. Although your day job is rewarding and vital for the patient, I think this may be more relaxing. :upside_down_face:

Welcome!

I have the chocolate shop on its way to me in the post and im really excited about it :star_struck:

I have started on my christmas builds already, i have a snow room, the melody tree, the melody globe and i still have the gift factory to put together but i adore the christmas sets!

Having a cricut would be very very handy with this hobby!

Enjoy! I hope you love it here as much as I do, i look forward to seeing more of your posts :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Welcome to the community, Jeanne! Your builds sound wonderful, and using your Cricut for the trim is such a smart idea! I have one too, though I’ve only used it to make a few stickers so far hehe. Hope to see you around!

Welcome to the community, Jeanne! It’s so lovely to have you here. I love how you dove right in and explored different kits — from the Baking Kitchen to the older version Cathy’s flower house, and then the Chocolate Shop! It sounds like you’ve already picked up so many tips along the way. Can’t wait to see your future builds — and fingers crossed for some fun new Christmas kits too!

Welcome to the community. I hope to see all of your creative models here. You may also like to check out the ROKR posts which are mainly models made of wood. I got hooked on those about 20 months ago. I’ve done 85 or so (I lose count) and have loved every one of them
