I apologize for not posting this and thanking Robotime! You have already seen my build, Catherine’s Living Room. That was my gift from the Team! Thank you for this very generous gift @Robotime
I enjoyed every minute of this build. Really allowed me to personalize! This will always be special!
Catherine’s Living Room turned out so beautifully, and you really made it your own. I need to catch up your other post! Such a perfect leaderboard gift, so well deserved!
Something similar has been happening to me lately too. There are shops starting to sell Robotime kits, even blind boxes!! I’m honestly so happy about it.
It’s funny because before they didn’t sell anything like that, and now I’m really glad it’s becoming more popular. Here, Robotime is pretty much the main brand you can find in physical stores, almost the only one. I love it!
Woooooooow! This store used to be a regular toy shop, but now, besides the typical toys for kids and babies, they’ve added a whole section of Robotime kits. They even have some kits assembled and on display. They’ve also got blind boxes, some of them opened and displayed too.
And how cool that they have miniature trains and tracks! It’s so rare to see those!
Yes, it’s such an amazing hobby, but you’re absolutely right… it can get incredibly expensive very quickly. The trains, the tracks, the scenery, the lighting… it all adds up so fast.
It’s a bit sad that it’s slowly fading out, especially because some of those setups are true works of art. The level of detail people achieve is just incredible. I guess it’s one of those hobbies that requires both time and money, which not everyone has nowadays.
Still, I love that some stores keep it alive. Even just seeing those miniature landscapes on display
I watched a renovation show last night and there was a man living in a house worth roughly 4.5 million dollars. He did a 1.5 million Reno putting in a wine cellar and another floor to house his train sets.
I personally thought that his setup lacked character because it y was just the trains and tracks. There was no diorama around it.
I think you need the scenery! That is what makes it so awesome.
I was at a campground and one of the seasonal campers had a whole setup outside. It was a village and mountains and tunnels. He would turn it on to run on the weekends. I could just stay and watch it, like a kid! What a treat!
I love your lamp…and is that the teddy bear from Tipsy Restaurant? I haven’t used my bear anywhere yet. Great job on this build! The animals are a nice touch!
