I wanted to watch tv in my bedroom so made a mobile work desk. The lid is shaped well to hold small parts.
It wouldn’t work as well if I need to do a lot of exact cutting but it worked for 90% of the Garage kit that I’ve been working on.
It was easy to move to the other room without forgetting all my tools. I kept the box and larger items in the tub while I worked.

Wow such a creative idea. I was thinking about a sort of work table for the sofa. Normally, I use it at the dining table, but in the winter it always gets quite cold there in the evenings because my husband closes the door between the living room and the conservatory.

I like my desk when I just want to craft for a few minutes. I can just leave everything out. It won’t get moved.

Sometimes I’ll move the tray over and lay down. I always remove it all when I’m actually going to sleep, though. lol
Lolz. Most of the time I am doing it in a wooden tray. So when I get sleepy, I just move the whole thing to the side. I did passed out at one stage and woke up the next morning surrounded by wooden boards.
Looks like a great idea…but I need MUCH more space than that. I could never work from bed…LOL!
