This nightmare of tooothpicks and rubber bands is finally over. I completed the hot rod but it doesn’t work. It is just another shelf ornament. For the rubber band that I was missing, I cut a part from one of the larger rubber bands and super glued it. It actually held even though it had to be stretched very very tight. I spun the wheel and it told me I should do my vitoscope. That won’t be happening because the process I want to do on it involve spraying lacquer. With temperatures well below freezing for the next few days, I will not be venturing outside to do anything of the sorts. I also will not be spraying lacquer inside my home so I have chosen to move on to the gear ball challenge
This turned out super cool
haha finally freed from this nightmare. Your hard work was worth it because you now have another beautiful decoration for your shelf
i think the gear ball challenge is an amazing build to make. Enjoy!
Wow! I am glad you finished but it definitely is not one on my list! Looks very cool though and now you can move on! LOL
Thanks, Liset! I am not off to a good start with the Gearball Challenge. I am missing 2 springs needed right at the beginning. None in my spares box. I guess this one will be packed up until I get the parts.
This s so cool! Love it…you did a great job @Nita_Davis !
That’s a bummer!
Just when you think you’re going to start building again, you can immediately pack it up again.
I spun the wheel again and it chose the Vitascope. NOT happening with this crazy cold weather cuz I won’t spray lacquer inside. I pulled out the jewelry box because THAT cam up on the wheel next. I have NO gold paint…and they already have that one piece in gold so I won’t do silver on the rest. NOT driving anywhere on these icy roads for gold paint. I think this a sign that I am just supposed to go and work on the pinball machine.
@Liset
Thanks so much Tina!
This is the best time to go further on the pinball ![]()

I will sleep well knowing that this one is behind me. Thank you so much for your support along the way. @Kit_Mun
You did a great job. A beautiful car.
Thanks @ThaoNguyen . I wish I hadn’t done the white…but oh well. Mistakes will be made.
I think it’s fine.
It’s shame it doesn’t work but the colour is amazing!
Congratulations on finishing this nightmare and I hope your next build will be a lot more enjoyable! ![]()
Thanks so much. I am happy to have this one behind me. @JDisaduck
