I finished the lovely magic harp but it is not working. I emailed my topic to customer service and got no reply. Here is the problem. When the main pillar sits on the circular base, the circular base will rotate 1/4 of a round, the music will play, and then it stops. The main pillar does not turn with it. However. If I move the pillar out of the way gently, the music box plays, the circular base spins, the gears rotate. Also, if I turn the pillar manually, while it is sitting on the base, the music plays and I hear clicking sounds every few seconds. Something is wrong, and I am close to pinpointing the exact problem, to no avail yet. Please help!!!

I think something has been misaligned, which is hindering the rotation. @CustomerService please help
I haven’t done that. Hopefully someone in the community has experienced the same thing and can help.

That definitely sounds like the main pillar is binding somewhere instead of turning freely. Since everything works when you move the pillar aside, I’d carefully check for any misaligned gears, parts that may have been installed upside down, or glue that may have seeped into the rotating mechanism. Hopefully it’s just a small alignment issue that’s easy to fix. Wishing you the best of luck, and I hope customer service gets back to you soon!

I am sorry to hear that you are having this problem. I can’t be of help because mine does not work properly either. After pulling it apart a couple of times, I still cannot pinpoint the issue. I wish you much luck.
I have also built the Harp. Fortunately mine works without issue so I honestly do not know what to tell you. I would definitely take a video so that @customer service can actually see what is all happening. They will most certainly ask for that.
They are going in to the weekend so you may not hear for a few days. Dont give up!
Sounds like the gears that pluck the strings are too tight. I had this same issue. If you loosen the gears for the strings slightly it should help.
I think the gears responsible for plucking the strings are excessively tight. Sometimes slightly loosening the gears for the strings resolve this issue.
Robotime is usually pretty good about replying to emails. Hopefully, they can reach out to you through the community. Good luck with your problem!

I’m uploading a video here since CS responded to one issue, but it created another. I haven’t heard back in a week, so maybe someone here can help with specifics?
I am sorry but nothing on video. Sometimes more success with a youtube made one. Also be sure it completely uploads before hitting submit

Hi! I’m not sure if you got help with this, but I had a similar issue with my build, and for me, the issue was that the assembly at the top of the main pillar, in the clear plastic part, was moving the wrong direction. I removed it, rotated it 180 on the z axis, and put back in, and it works fine now.
Having it the wrong orientation will also cause the clear string strums to go the opposite direction, so if that’s happening to you, that might your issue. Hope you get it figured out!
