I have spent three weeks and one day away from home while my dad had open heart surgery. During that time I have been making various miniature items…among them are these miniature books. I have never worked with such tiny pieces and the wood is so fragile, but they turn out really cute! The tiny little gingerbread houses were a challenge, and they definitely don’t look great, but over all I love how they turned out.
This is the one with the tiny gingerbread houses..
Thank you to everyone who prayed and wished us well…we are finally in our way home! My dad is so glad to be out of the hospital…let the healing begin!
I can’t wait to immerse myself in my next build!
Oh Tina! I am so happy to hear this news about your dad. Continued prayers for full healing. On another note, these little things turned out fabulous! I am in love with the nativity scene and gingerbread house.
@Tkaplan it is wonderful to hear that your dad is out of the hospital and you are finally heading home together. Creating the fragile miniature books, gingerbread houses, china cabinet, and nativity scene during those three difficult weeks gave your hands something beautiful to hold onto—wishing him a steady recovery.
I’m so happy to hear that your Dad is on his way home to heal. After all that time in hospital, I’m sure he will be so happy to sleep in a real bed as well.
Your miniatures are adorable. I love how compact they are.
I’m so happy to hear your dad is finally on his way home. Wishing him a smooth recovery and plenty of strength in the weeks ahead. And wow, those tiny books are absolutely adorable! It’s amazing that you created such intricate miniatures during such a challenging time. I hope your next build brings you the relaxing, joyful crafting time you truly deserve.
Absolutely adorable! Working at that scale is never easy, especially with such fragile pieces, and I think they turned out wonderfully. Glad to hear your dad is home! Wishing him a smooth and steady recovery.
