I was able to get a few things done. My first few pieces were with the softer, thinner wood so I was super careful. Most of my painting is edge painting. I did outline a ghost shelf otherwise keeping things simple thus far.
I used my magnetic clips for the candles and candelabra since they are glued on. The candles were pretty easy and already cut out of wood. I used my quilling stick (arrow pointing) to gently fold tab in half and then easily inserted in to candle. I did add a dab of glue so they would stay in.
You’ve made a great start! I love how careful you’re being with the thinner wood, and the magnetic clips are such a clever way to hold those tiny candles and the candelabra while the glue sets. The little ghost shelf detail sounds cute too! Can’t wait to see how the rest comes together.
So much fun things in this! The ghost shelf was pretty cool. I dont remember what it is called but when you turn shelf side to side, the ghost images change.
That sounds like such a fun little feature! The changing ghost images when you move the shelf side to side are such a clever touch. I love when a kit includes little interactive surprises like that!
It’s coming along beautifully. That edge painting makes a huge difference. I really love how well this is going for you. I am pretty sure this will be my next kit to claim, if that happens.
Yes, I haven’t opened it since I still have kits that need to be done first but I’m excited. The ghost figurines that I bought a long time ago will be perfect for it.
