[Happiness] Miniatures in a store front (and some holiday pics)

I love the photos! The miniatures are really cool and loving the village set up.
That cave one is beautiful as is the sunset and the person starring in them/ Fantastic girl (I do not mean the mama kangaroo, although she is cute!)! I am glad you had a great adventure and glad you shared these!

They are actually lava tubes. We have a few extinct volcanoes up north.

I guess being here in Australia we are used to seeing kangaroos all the time. There are so many species of them. We had a mama wallaby that lives where I work but sadly she was bitten by a snake. Her older joey still lives there though.

No, they were made by the Cairns miniature group. I’ve never seen a kit of the old Queenslander home anywhere. I would love to build it myself.

Right maybe I encountred them once when I was searching for more miniature brands (or maybe I’m hallucinating  ), queenslander is not your home town right??

The state that I live in is Queensland. These were called Queenslanders because they were built in this state with big verandahs and up high on posts so that the air could circulate better in the heat and humidity.

Suzanne_Jones, thank you for sharing such a beautiful mix of miniatures and travel memories. The old Queenslander home, the lava tubes, and the kangaroo photos made this feel like a tiny holiday with the community.

Too funny. Yes, we become accustomed to it. I used to live with my grandmother in a Queenslander and we had to open the windows lol

I love the miniature houses that you’ve shared. I think the white house was made out of popsicle stick and it’s quite amazing. Thank you for sharing those lovely photos from your trip!

Thanks Anne. I’m pretty sure that it was made out of sticks as you said. The homes themselves are made from wood so I think that the builder had created it well.
