Today, I thought I’d pull out Mrs Charlie and pick up where I left off and reached the candelabra.
After completely destroying the first attempt, I started over. Right before, I lost my temper along with my mojo and packed it all up.
Many thanks @JDisaduck because I’m sure you cursed me :laughing::laughing:

So, I decided to play with resin and clay.
I was happy with my the outcome of making resin plates. (I think the air bubbles add character ha ha).

Spending the next couple of hours playing with my clay creating leaves, flowers, a tray and a bowl, I was excited to create. I love the colours and patterns in my bowl, and I was happy with my tray.

But it wouldn’t bake!
It was then that I realised that I had used the wrong clay. The kind that doesn’t set!
The whole lot went in the bin.

Next I tried to make a stool using a button and toothpicks. It’s not too bad, but I think it needs some more work.

Overall; I had an enjoyable afternoon. At least I learned some new skills lol
And I might tackle Mrs Charlie at another time.

Oh bummer about the clay!! But I like how you turned the whole thing into a great practice of new skills!!I think we all could learn from that! lol

As I was reading through this and then got to the part about the non-setting clay, I shouted an audible oh no! Your resin clay Work looks very nice

Aww the plates are adorable and so are the tiny foods. So cute!! I definitely wanna learn to do more resin and just got a resin coaster kit! Maybe I’ll do that today :blush:

It’s a nice afternoon, working on different dkills. Too bad that it ended up being the wrong clay, but you did have practice with it after all.

And we all have an off-day every once in a while, let’s hope the next one will get better :smiling_face:

I know right? Was very bummed. I think I may throw this lot of clay away or hide it where I can’t find it easily so that I don’t use the wrong clay again.
But I did learn a few things from experimenting.
