While I’m resting my ankle with my leg up, I went to one of my little corners where I keep my unbuilt kits. They’re spread out in different places because I’ve run out of space, so please don’t judge me
Without thinking too much, I picked the Fluffy Cat Bakery. It just caught my attention right away because of the big box, the blue frame around it, and the fact that it said it takes about 1.5 hours to build, although I can already tell you It will take me much longer than that because of the little changes I want to make. Also, that little cat at the door is completely my weakness .
I started it at night, so I only got a little done because I’m still not fully comfortable and my ankle is bothering me quite a lot…
But the first furniture pieces are so pretty: the display shelf and the counter. I spent quite a while on them because, of course, I had already started painting all the edges I could see. In fact, I’ve decided I’m going to paint some of the furniture too. I made a few little changes to the counter, for example. You can’t really see them much at first glance, but they do show in the details.
I’m feeling quite excited about this one because today was my grandmother Olimpia’s birthday, and she is the biggest fan of all the miniatures I make. There is absolutely no way I’ll finish the carousel in time for tomorrow, which is when I’m supposed to go see her for lunch if my ankle gives me a break, so I started wondering if I could give her this one instead and then give her another present once I finish the carousel. I’m still not sure. Most likely, I’ll tell her I do have a gift for her, but it still needs to be finished. I’m sure that alone will make her happy.
Anyway, I’m rambling a lot now. You can tell I don’t talk to many people during the day lately . Thank you so much for reading, and I hope I can show you my finished new kit tomorrow.
