[Happiness] August in Hindsight and Welcome September!

I love that your mother has joined the madness - I’m working on a strategy to rope my own into this hobby, too! And as for meetups, I don’t want to put pressure on my local brand ambassador, Sue, but I can’t wait for the next one. It really is such a lovely time, getting together and making things with other people!

@kaegetbent August sounds like a joyful first full month in the community, from Sunset Isle and Tipsy Cat Bar to your Nanci and Suri residents. The fact that you pause to enjoy the ambience of the finished builds says everything about the pleasure they bring—September has plenty to build on.

@Grey74 discovering another member’s music life alongside their miniature builds is exactly the kind of connection that gives a community depth. Your enthusiasm for both the polka performance and the creative journey makes this such a generous welcome.

@kaegetbent its because they are such an incredible individual with so much depth to their character and artistic abilities. Makes it easy! Like so many artists in this community!! It’s what I love about being here.

The fluffy Nanci 's are the cutest thing. Also, your September sounds super busy haha but it’ll be as fun. The meetup with your mom is a very sweet way to start your first meetup

Happy September! It sounds like August was such a fun month for you, from finishing those two beautiful builds and discovering Nanci and Suri to bringing your mom into the hobby and making new friendships. And yes, I’m definitely going to shame you into finishing that courtyard! :joy: You’re so close now, you can’t leave it sitting there taking up bandwidth! Wishing you a wonderful September, even with your crazy schedule. Hopefully you still find a few little pockets of time for building and relaxing!

I love that. my dad had such a musical soul, he is really what drove me to do music too. when he loved a song, he loved a song. I’m sure I heard him playing that one at some point.

that’s so cool!!! it runs in the family then

Happy September, Anje!

my mom is a big creative too, so it was easy to rope her in. my dad/her husband died just over a year ago so I try to find ways to keep us connected and her out of the house so she’s not so sad. I’m so excited that David scheduled his next one so quickly after the last one - it’s a little far out for my liking but it’s something to look forward to hehehs

and I agree, David is awesome.

my mom laughed when I showed it to her:

“what is THAT??”

“her name is Nanci! shes a kitty ”

“…what’s that on her face??”

“a snot bubble, to represent tranquility”

“I love how they’re brave enough to make products like this”
