Every year on April 1st, people around the world celebrate April Fools’ Day — a day dedicated to jokes, pranks, and a little harmless chaos
But where did it come from?
No one knows for sure, but one popular story dates back to 16th century France, when the calendar changed and some people kept celebrating New Year in April… and got teased for it. Since then, April 1st has become the unofficial global holiday of mischief
So we had this silly thing I can remember from when I was in school, you cut out a fish in paper and you write on it April 1ste and you stick it on someone’s back while they don’t notice it, so they walk around with it, I was always very panicking about this day in school always looking over my shoulder if there was a paper fish on my back, here is an example of one, I never really got pranked heavy on this day and i don’t believe anything people say on this day, I must say I never pranked anyone else as I don’t like being pranked myself.
When i was building my Amusement Park Booknook and i placed my glue down..i swear it dissapeared then i had to use a different glue and it dissapeared again..i later found both after clearing my bed after building
@Robotime this i would say i believe, but as i said before i don’t prank people myself as i don’t like being pranked myself, so i was just going to do it with that fish to my daughter today as she always pokes me when she seeing a yellow car, but she decided to have a sleepover at her friends house yesterday to celebrate the end of her easter exams with her friends as school is out already since Monday for a 2 week easter holiday, she only has to go back getting her result Friday morning and then she has a 2 week school holiday, so i’m just stuck with my fish now as she gets back this evening after badminton training, she took her badminton training stuff with her yesterday already, she goes from her friends house to badminton traning and gets back arround 8PM today after training
@Alicesharpe we have a saying about today and it is in dutch and don ‘t know how to translate is in English correctly “op 1 april zend men de zotten waar men wil” in English it’s something like "On April 1ste we send the fools where we want’ in dutch it rhymes, it doesn’t rhym in English
