Festive Wonderland

This year I’m not really in the decorating mood. My physical health has gone downhill at the lovely age of 34 from military injuries so getting the tree out of the attic isn’t in the cards. However, that’s not stopping my daughter (4yo) and I from festivities. I’m focusing my building energy on Christmas themed houses and nooks - my first of the season is the Sweet Shack with my Gingerbread house next. I got my daughter a 3.5’ tall tree with multiple sets of ornaments so she can change it daily. I have tinsel all over the house that she decided didn’t belong on her tree and I’m constantly pulling strands out from between her toes. For the next 10 days we are at my moms house and she’s taking over all the festive plans - baking cookies, decorating the tree and yard, and keeping the house smelling like dessert.

Hiiii @Emily_Rencich ! Even though you’re not feeling up to decorating this year, it’s amazing to see how you and your daughter are still creating such a festive and joyful atmosphere together. Your focus on building Christmas-themed houses and nooks sounds wonderful, the Sweet Shack and the upcoming Gingerbread house will surely bring lots of cheer! :candy::house:

Your daughter’s daily decorating with her little tree and ornaments sounds absolutely adorable, and the tinsel adventures made me smile :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:. It’s great that your mom is helping out and making the next 10 days extra special with cookies, decorations, and that lovely dessert aroma.

Wishing you both a warm and happy holiday season filled with creativity, laughter, and sweet memories! :christmas_tree::sparkles:
