That’s right haha, but one is the globe with a lamp, and the globe is mostly made of plastic, which I won’t paint because I’m afraid it won’t look nice when the lamp is turned on.

True! Maybe just the wood structures? My partner is building his luminous globe soon (finally) and I wanted him to stain the wood so they’re a bit darker but I don’t think he wants to bother. 
Oh well it’s his build. 
I had that idea for the luminous globe as well. I want to give it a somewhat more antique look.
