Dollhouse lights

I havent been able to work on my minatures for almost 2 weeks now because i have been busy with my daughters 4th birthday.

I wanted to share one of the gifts we got her. A dollhouse! She really wanted it to have lights though so thanks to my knew light wiring skills i have aquired from robotime kits, i went and got some lights, wire and battery boxes from a local electrical store and we drilled a few holes and added lights for her!
It was a last minute idea so it was a little rushed. Im going to tape the wires better and hide them along the sides with fake skirting made from balsa and i will also make battery boxes to enclose everything. But for now this is working and both miss 4 and 6 are obsessed!

I made the lightshades out of scrapbooking paper!

Im definitely going to be doing a lot of renovations on this dollhouse! Its a fantastic blank canvas honestly. Planning to add wallpaper, floors, shingles to the rood and i will probably pain the exterier and stain the balcony.

Hope everyone had a good week, its saturday here so Happy Weekend :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: hopefully I can get my secouded neighbour kit finished over the next few days! :crossed_fingers:

Thanks! Me too :star_struck:

This is adorable, and what a beautiful idea for your daughter’s birthday. The lights look fantastic, and it’s so sweet that you used your Robotime wiring skills to make her dollhouse. The lampshades are such a clever touch too! It’s already lovely, and your renovation plans sound amazing. I’m sure your girls will treasure it for a long time. Enjoy the weekend, and I hope you find a little time for your build! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

What a amazing project. I would make slots in the ceiling and walls to hide the cables.

It is nice to see you build something from scratch. Your daugther must be really happy to see it. Great work on the lights and looking forward to see your creation.
Have a great week to you too.

The timber is much too thin unfortunately, i think it might crack the floor. Its a cheap dollhouse. Otherwise this would have been a great idea! I might get some wireless lights with remotes for it, i didnt have time to source them offline when i decided on the project.

Indeed! Maybe, in the future, you’ll be able to do a miniature house all by yourself :eyes::sparkles:
