DIY Miniature World Challenge Faaaails

So this is how things are going for me in the competition so far. :joy:

I made a floor using egg carton, glued and painted.. but I wasn’t happy with it. So… I ripped the whole thing off and now I’m starting over. :woman_facepalming:

I know the floor doesn’t have to be perfect. It’s going to be inside, behind walls, with furniture and other things covering parts of it. It might barely even show in the final photos.

But my brain is like: NOPE. NOT GOOD ENOUGH. :joy:

I even thought about putting the floor aside for a while and starting on the walls instead. But apparently I can’t concentrate on the walls while knowing that I hate the floor. So here we are… back to square one.

I think I might have a tiny bit of a perfectionist problem. :joy: It’s honestly exhausting sometimes, and it makes me wonder if competitions are really for me.

Anyway, got to run to the store for a new package of eggs :egg:

I know the feeling. I have spent several days giving Mr Ghost and several other items a makeover with this special paint and I am hating them I have to reprint all 3 items to start them over and do them differently.

And all I think of is that I miss the time I was designing on my computer.. If you fail.. just commando + Z and start again. Now.. its mess up, break, throw away, buy some new :joy::joy:

Maybe Rolife is trying to teach us all a life lesson. Just how challenging it can be to create a kit from start to package.

I am not going crazy with this, I am not making whole new walls or floors (which is why I most likely will not win). I am doing what I can do to any of their kits and that is adding my own touches to create a theme, keeping with some of the kit. It means I am not being hard on myself and just enjoying a kit and customizing like I like to do. Simplistic I know but it is better for my head.

I know that it will be pure perfection in the end. I have thrown a way a couple of things so far on my Halloween diorama.

@jeanneL I think you became the psychology of the community  You always have so many great words to reflect over :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: And you really don’t need to make any floors or walls to win this competition. I know you can be a great candidate in the Community Favourite Awards  Or maybe the best storytelling?, or creative idea? There Are many awards here for you that you can win.
