Wow, this is such a great first customization project! I love how much thought you’re putting into the finishing touches, especially sanding the edges, adding color, and experimenting with different ways to apply the varnish. The darker edges on the handles sound like a really nice detail too. It’s definitely taking time, but I think that’s part of the fun when you’re making a kit truly your own. I can’t wait to see how the Treasure Tray looks once you finally put everything together! :heart:

Yes, I am customizing this kit with a varnish. Other than that, I probably won’t be adding anything else.

I did test the varnish on a scrap piece but I applied it with a paintbrush. I never tested the other application methods.

I can definitely see that! Customizing makes the build so much more personal, even if it does take a lot of extra time and patience. But seeing how it all comes together in the end makes the extra work so worth it! :heart:
