I’ve made a bit of progress on the kitchen. I have my back wall installed after painting the lower wainscotting in Gray instead of leaving it the greenish color that it was. I love the black and white tile flooring. Next I will be moving on to paint the back door and giving some color to my golden retriever. I was pretty bummed about the placement of that picture being hidden by something else in front of it but there’s nothing I can do about it now.

The gray wainscotting really elevates the back wall — it feels more polished and balanced than the greenish tone, and it pairs beautifully with that black and white tile flooring.

I love the yellow walls. Using gray is a good idea as it makes the yellow wall pop out even more.
I just wish the pumpkin wouldnt be in paper.

The black and white floor is classic and I agree that leaving it ‘as is’ is a good idea.
I like the grey wainscotting. It coordinates with the cupboard.
So far, looking great.
It’s SO tiny… 
and made from a real piece of TP…as paper towels are a bit thick to deal with.
