I got a lot done on Leo’s Coffee Truck today, but wow, those windows are fiddly. The slots are wider since you have to tilt them to fit, which means nothing wants to stay in place while you’re trying to get the top piece on. It’s one of those moments where you’re holding your breath and hoping everything clicks into position without sliding everywhere. Definitely a patience-tester, but I made it through!
The cute details on this kit are really something though. The espresso machine is different from others I’ve built—way more character to it. Inside the cab, there’s a nice dash and a pillow in the seat that add so much personality. And on the counter, I couldn’t leave those little jars empty, so I filled them with resin and added some tiny balls I had left over from another kit. It’s those little touches that make a build feel complete, you know?
I’m curious—when you’re building and you spot empty spaces like that, do you leave them or do you find yourself adding something to fill them? What’s your approach?
Depending on the kit, I sometimes add something in those empty spaces, but I strive for simpler cleaner look so I don’t want to make things look so overcrowded either
Hi Kim_Kieffer, those windows are notorious for being a test of patience, but you handled them like a pro! I absolutely love your creative spark with the resin and tiny beads, it adds such a wonderful touch to the coffee truck. Seeing your personal flair in these builds is exactly why we love this community so much.
Those windows can be so tricky it seems, but it’s looking amazing already! I love that you added your own little details, it really makes the whole build feel more alive
