[DIY & Creativity] Finished Beverly’s ice cream truck, but not without a challenge

Previously: ([DIY & Creativity] Progress 2: Beverly’s Ice cream Truck and a helpful tool)

Finally finished Beverly’s Ice cream truck. I love everything about it- the beauty, details and nostalgic feel, but—-

As I was installing the roof, I accidentally broke the sides of the windshield. No matter what I did, I ended up re-glueing and re-breaking the same spots over and over again.

So I ended up literally cutting off the tabs of the top part of the windshield. I added butterflies to cover the damages, lol. The roof finally fit perfectly.

I think the ice cream menus are by far one of my favorites. There’s something endearing about flipping the pages and reading the actual menus.

And yeah, the wheels work!

Thanks everyone for reading. And thanks @robotime for a very lovely and nostalgic kit.

Oh no! What a tragic ending to such a ‘sweet’ story…BUT the butterflies look really cute. All is good. It’s a LOVELY kit.

Oh no to bad that the windshield broad. Luckily you could camouflage it with the butterflies. Nice build!

Thank you Nita. One thing that I really like about building is it helped with my problem-solving skills lol

All day. Everyday. With every kit, there is always something new to ‘tackle’.

It’s not really that thin, but the tabs above the windshield are in an awkward position. So it didn’t really help at all trying.

It’s absolutely beautiful  sorry to hear about the broken windshields but you covered the damage so nicely. Well done @mchipman

My son will definitely enjoy playing with this knowing that the wheels work! I hope @Robotime will make more of this food trucks :star_struck: that will be so fun!

Such a cool van—I’m practically drooling over some ice cream right now!

Haha I had the same issue while building it. It just looks so real. There are cookies/pastries inside too

Thank you! It’ll be nice if @Robotime will make a food truck, particularly Filipino foods haha! Wishful thinking…
