Cuckoo Clock work only without the door

Hi, I’m trying to build the Cuckoo Clock, but I’m struggling with the bird mechanism. It works, but when I install the door, the bird doesn’t come out, it just sings. How can I fix this? I made two videos to show what happens.

Please double-check that the door is installed correctly. I remember the door has a spring mechanism to open and close when the birds come out.

It’s very hard for me to see…but have you checked to make sure the bottom springs on the doors were installed properly?

@memi welcome to the community! The cuckoo clock bird working until the door is installed sounds like a very specific and frustrating mechanism issue. Thanks for sharing videos, and we hope the community can help you spot where it is catching.

Maybe check that none of the screws around the mechanism are overtightened, as this can restrict the movement of the linkage.

I think it might be the steel wires that need re-connecting as shown on page 5 picture 1.

By the way has anyone found a supplier of a suitable Type C cable to power the clock?

Hello, I was able to fix this! The problem was that I had installed the bottom springs the wrong way. Thank you to everybody who answered and helped me!
