Cuckoo clock is done!

@Nectarines I really enjoyed making this! I did not think it possible yet it went together well. The directions were great. I also read the tips ahead of time and that helped me, along with the few I added! I was in awe when I finished!

Great Job..!!!Looks amazing!!..Just finished mine also…turned out great…yes some pieces are fragile but made it through it ok…my cuckoo does the same thing in coming out on the hour…kept having to readjust hands until cuckoo chimed at 12…roof pattern gave me some small issues as to staying on but not to hard of a fix…Again your clock looks Amazing :+1: :+1: …. Fun build for anyone !!!

Happy to you! And thanks for the advise, be honest when I’m working on my Cuckoo Clock, I didn’t think so much of it, just follow the instructions and step by step:rofl:, if the pieces is hard to move out, I will use a penknife cut on the link part which connected to the board, no need to cut until the end, just front & back then push it from the backside, it will be easily removed :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:. So far I only destroyed one small piece:rofl::rofl::rofl: looking forward for your next:heart:

I build one myself and enjoyed it too!. I just have a question about how the pendulum works. Mine makes a knocking sound. It turns out the pendulum is hitting the catch you use to lock it in place to adjust the time. See screenshot. Is that the case with you too?

Its the one on the right (blue arrow); on the left side I see a catch too. Is this by design to hit that?

Mine swings pretty freely and all I hear is a gentle tick. I just brought it downstairs but will take a look inside and let you know what I see!

After a good sleep I had the solution: I have stick some weight to the pedulum. Now the swing isn’t that wide anymore. But it’s not the way it should be done Iguess, as no-one else is having this “issued”.

I did look inside and those little parts that stick out appear to be wide enough apart that they are not touching the pendulum arm

Not with me. The service of Robotime told me that there is no ideal solution for that issue and adviced me to trim that part off (!!)

well, hoping that works! was it cs on here?

I had the same issue and came up with a solution although it is a bit tricky to implement.

It involves removing magnet which is glued into the small retangular box near the bottom of pendulum and reversing it so the magnet is on the outside of box while the small plastic cover is on the inside. While not ideal it solves the problem without snipping the stops.

Warning, the magnet and plastic cover are glued in and are difficult to remove.

I believe the ROKR design team are looking into this issue, however from what I have seen here only a handful of people have run into this problem.

You finished it?? How long does it takes you doing this so fasttt :woman_running:

Would you color some part of it now that it completes?

@Rod_B thanks for sharing this! I actually do not have a magnet on mine. At the end of the build as I was cleaning things up, I found a rectangular magnet. No clue where it came from and nothing in my instructions! so I kept it but never knew what to do. Looks like they changed some things now and it has been clarified. Meanwhile mine sits in a container of extras and my clock ticks away!

This was one of my early builds. I think I completed it in Two days, but 2 long days. Retired so I have time! It was a wonderful build and I only painted a little. I love seeing what @Liset and others did so I may have painted more, but mine came painted and I was nervous to change too much! I did mostly edges and the water wheel.
