Crafting Great Vibes!

Crafting Great Vibes!

On Thursday, August 27th we created a masterpiece of an evening during our Robotime DIY Crafting Meetup! There was a lovely group of ten creators that were able to attend our small-town event at the Bell Memorial Library in Mentone, Indiana.

The evening began with greeting guests as they arrived, having them get a name tag and snack to settle in with, and helping them get signed into the Robotime Community. I prepared for 15 attendees, and welcomed ten. While it would be very exciting to get a bigger group, I have to say I am very pleased to get at least ten people from our very small farming community. The intimate size allows me to really have positive conversations about Robotime and their products, to assist with understanding kit directions, tips, and more, all while making personal connections with everyone.

Once guests were in place and ready to move forward with our agenda. Introductions were made, and I was able to share the exciting news about Robotime celebrating their 9th anniversary in a few days in New Jersey! Details were presented about the other companies under the Robotime umbrella with the intriguing products offered through them. After this, crafters were able to select kits based on random numbers that I had placed under their work mats. Everyone seemed to be full of excitement and anticipation about their kits! As boxes were opened, I offered a few helpful tips like keeping all pieces in their bags or boards until needed, and to keep all items in the box until the project is completed; just in case something might be needed later. We all know there are little frames and pieces that show up in those directions after you thought you had everything necessary pulled out.

During our work time, I was able to get a few people to make a short video. Some people were too engrossed with their project to stop. Those that recorded were super excited to select a Nanci or Suri blind box. Their enthusiasm was catching and a few others decided that they would record something short too. There were several comments expressing how much fun the projects were and that they were hooked on a new hobby.

All good things come to an end, and as we were nearing the end of our time together, nobody wanted to stop working. The positive chatter continued even as they walked out of the building! Once guests were gone, the director of events at the library was very happy with the attendance and the meetup format. She asked if another event could be hosted there. That speaks highly of the great products offered by Robotime and the ambassador program. In summary, the meetup was full of joyful conversation, laughter, building, and magic. It was an absolute blast from start to finish and I am so incredibly thrilled to have been a part of it!

Awesome!!! Thanks for sharing and congrats on this successful event!

What a great meet up this looks like it was so fun and cozy. You know the smaller groups really do make a lot of a difference especially in those participating. I think it’s because there’s more interaction and there’s more one-on-one time to learn and experience this great craft thank you for sharing. Congratulations on a wonderful meet up.

Such a lovely group! Congratulations!

This sounds like such a wonderful meetup! Ten attendees from a small farming community is something to be really proud of, and I love how the intimate group gave you the chance to connect with everyone, help with their builds, and introduce them to the Robotime community. The fact that nobody wanted to stop building and the library director already asked about hosting another event says it all! It sounds like you created a really welcoming and memorable evening for everyone.
