I officially completed Tsutenkaku Ichiban Street, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out! I’ve been wanting to build this one ever since it was announced because I love Japanese street scenes and all the tiny food shops!
One of my favorite features is how the book nook opens up! It lets you admire every tiny detail hidden inside. From the glowing ramen shop and seafood market to the cozy izakaya and the illuminated tower, every little corner tells its own story!
Favorite details: The opening book nook design The glowing oversized ramen bowl The seafood market with the fishing boat The illuminated yakitori shop The stunning tower centerpiece The incredible lighting throughout the entire street
My favorite moment was turning on the lights for the first time. Seeing the entire street come to life made all the tiny details even more magical. The warm lighting, vibrant storefronts, and incredible depth make it feel like you’re strolling through the streets at night!
Despite how incredibly detailed this kit is, I was pleasantly surprised by how smooth the building experience was. The instructions were easy to follow, and everything fit together beautifully. The only part that challenged me was the wiring since it sits behind all of the buildings but after taking my time, I figured it out and seeing everything light up made it completely worth it!
For now, I’ve placed it next to my Kyoto Snow Whisper book nook and I absolutely love seeing them displayed together Eventually, it’ll make its way onto my growing Japanese-themed street and I’m so excited to watch that collection continue to come to life! I cant wait until my entire miniature street is complete!
What was your favorite detail in this kit? I’d love to hear what stood out to you!
This is sooo beautiful I love all the details! Looking at it, it reminds me of my family trip in Osaka back 2024. Kids were so small back then. My favorite part of this build is that it can open up so you can stare at all the amazing details.
Here’s my videos back in Japan in case you’re interested to watch.
