Oh no! I have never come across a part that was done like that. I would be bummed out as well. Do you have something else to work on while you are waiting for that part?

@joy.licerio your colored tram passengers add a lot of charm, even if that mis-cut part interrupted the momentum. Hopefully the replacement arrives smoothly, and it is nice that this pause is nudging you toward a new challenge with gears and waxing.
@Suzanne_Jones the Paddington Bear comparison is such a charming catch. Tiny color choices like that can make even the waiting-for-a-replacement stage feel a little more personal.
