[Challenge & Achievement] Magic Harp - step 6 - finished

My magic harp is finished. The last step was a little decorative finish by making the base and adding the drops to the strings.

I’m really pleased with my end result. It has just the right amount of color added. Different shades of blue. And the wood is also visible on the right places.

And the best thing. It works! There is no cog that stops spinning or anything. It all works like it should. I made a little reel on IG.

Here’s the link

And some picture I made of the finished kit.

Next up might be the space shuttle that arrived today. I’m still working on a DIY project on the side and got another one in the mail as well today. So I will be busy. The other kits I bought last week will also be arriving later this week or beginning of next week, so at that time I might have to introduce my ‘spin the wheel’ again to select which one I’m going to build.

I might not build again until Friday. Normally Wednesday evening is a time for building, but this week I’m following a workshop with a retired baker and we will be making some little tarts. Like these.

So no building that evening unfortunately.

And I love the tart course! I love baking!

Thank you so much @Nita_Davis I’m very pleased with the result as well.

And this baking classes are great. I go there with my mom and we have learned to bake a lot of different things already. Like sourdough bread, different cakes and tarts, and other pastries. It’s nice to learn it from a retired baker.

Your harp is understated and elegant. You chose wonderful colours.
I hope you enjoy the tart workshop. I’m afraid I would spend more time eating than baking!

@Minus_88 it really is beautiful. The colors are not distracting and make you focus on the harp itself. Such a d good job!

Oh I’ll want some baked goods. Let me know how to order lol

@Minus_88 congratulations on finishing the Magic Harp, and even better that it works smoothly. The blue shades with some natural wood still showing sound like a beautiful balance. Enjoy the baking workshop too; tiny tarts feel like a very fitting creative detour before the next build.
