When I first started the European Travels Infinity Train Cabin (not Rolife) I knew it was going to be one of the longer projects on my shelf. Now that it’s complete as Project 151, I can say it was worth the time and patience.
The faux leather details are what really make this kit stand out. Combined with all the gold accents and trim, it gives the cabin a luxurious feel that reminds me of classic first-class rail travel. There are gold stickers throughout the build that create beautiful layered details, although some of them were definitely a little fiddly to place.
One feature I especially appreciated was the design itself. The front doors are held closed with magnets and open wide to reveal the interior, while the back can also be opened if adjustments are needed to the moving scenic backdrop. The kit includes both summer and winter scenery, and I chose to install the summer landscape.
I used a walnut furniture marker on the visible wood edges, but surprisingly there weren’t as many exposed edges as I expected. Several times I carefully colored an edge only to discover a sticker or decorative layer would completely cover it later. I always appreciate when a kit is designed with that kind of attention to detail.
My customization was minimal, but I couldn’t leave the open suitcase empty. I tucked some folded fabric pieces from previous projects inside so it would look like someone was actually traveling. The flowers were another memorable detail, using earring backs as part of the assembly process, which was something I had never encountered before in a miniature kit.
The moving scenic backdrop took the most tweaking. I spent time adjusting, lubricating, and testing the mechanism until it moved smoothly enough to create the illusion of a train journey. Seeing that feature finally working was one of the most satisfying moments of the build.
There are so many tiny details packed into this cabin that it rewards taking a few extra moments to look around and discover them all.

One thing I still can’t decide is which sound mode I like best. This kit includes both train sounds and music to go along with the moving scenery.
