[Challenge & Achievement] Library Update 2

I have gotten a bit more done. I admit this is not my favorite part. I do not really care much for Board A which is a thicker paper. there are tabs that fit into slits in wood and it is not going in as smoothly as I like. In addition it is leaving gaps.
Here are more close ups of what I have done.

Its looking amazing! I love every detail

Trying to post some bits so others can see! I love when others do that. It helps to perk up interest. So many kits I bought based on others and their pics!

Thank you! I am hoping by focusing on the beauty and progressing through, the little gaps will disappear from my mind! I know, seeing others, that this is really pretty.

That’s precisely the part I warned you about, where I had to use glue. :downcast_face_with_sweat:

WOW! It is looking so elegant! Maybe those gaps will dissipate after adding more stuff. Regardless, it’s a beautiful model. It’s coming along so well. Have you done any customizing on this one…because I don’t know what it looks like originally.

I did not do anything to it at this point. So far everything looks good. I did do a few edges but really nothing else

I think that’s part of the charm of handmade builds :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: When something is factory-made it’s “perfect,” but when we build it ourselves there will always be tiny imperfections here and there. That’s what gives it personality and makes it feel truly unique

Does it hurt in your hand?

Love the look so far.
I have to agree, I feel bothered when there are gaps between the boards. I always have this urge to cover it up or something. But a little voice inside me would remind me that nobody would notice it once it is complete.

well that certainly puts a different perspective on things. Thanks!

unsure what you mean. I do know some parts are a tight fit and it is challenging because every part is kind of slanted. Makes it hard to lock in

Thanks! It is looking nice as I move forward
