I can finally say… everything is ready for my meetup tomorrow!
This will be the second one I organize, but that doesn’t mean I’m not still really nervous!!! This week has been quite intense for me. Not only because I’ve been preparing all the final details for the event, but also because I’m in the final stretch of the school term, which is always busy. On top of that, as teachers, we’ve had important strikes here in Catalonia, so it’s been a lot to handle all at once
I’ve been trying to stop by the community when I can, but as you can see, I didn’t even have time to make this post until now… better late than never!
This afternoon I went to the venue to prepare the room. This time we’ll be in a more private space compared to my first meetup, which I’m really excited about.
Just like last time (but with a few extra things), I have everything ready: tools (now organized in little bags, which I like much more), registration forms for the community, photo consent forms, information about Robotime, and drink tickets for the participants…
I had also pick up some snacks later today and… that’s it, everything is ready!!
I’m really looking forward to it. Organizing a meetup is a lot of work, but it’s also incredibly rewarding. I love meeting people, bringing them together, and later seeing how they discover a new passion. Watching them enjoy this hobby through their posts and photos is honestly such a joy for me.
Congrats @Wenbare !! I know that you can do well and you got this. I’ll be cheering for you virtually. I hope everything will turn smoothly and most importantly, have fun on the event.
And I can understand your nervousness, I think I might be nervous to when my first meetup arrives. I will be checking with people who want to participate next week so I can fix the date and the venue.
Your materials look beautiful Wendy! I can see you’ll be building amazing kits for your meetup. I wish you the best of luck and I will be cheering you on from the Philippines
