This morning, before heading off to work, I managed to sneak in another crafting session… and I’m happy to say the main structure of the Slow Life Café is finally complete! 
It’s amazing how quickly a pile of flat wooden pieces starts looking like an actual little building.
Today’s progress followed the instructions almost perfectly:
The floors…
Then the walls…
The lighting…
And finally, the roof.
Seeing everything come together made the café suddenly feel real. I can already imagine all the tiny details that will soon fill the space.
That said, this stage wasn’t completely without its challenges.
One thing that caught my attention was the way some of the joints were designed. The tabs are rectangular, but many of the slots are elongated ovals, so even when everything is fully inserted, there’s still visible space around the tabs. It doesn’t affect the stability of the build, but aesthetically I would have preferred the slots to be a closer match to the tabs.
On the other hand, the little wrought iron gate was the exact opposite. 
Its connection was so tight that I had to use quite a bit of gentle persuasion to get it into place. I may have given it a tiny battle scar in the process, but I’ve decided it just adds to its charm. After all, real wrought iron isn’t perfectly uniform either!
I also noticed a few visible gaps where some of the wall panels meet. I’m hoping they’ll become less noticeable once all the furniture, decorations, and finishing touches are in place.
Speaking of finishing touches…
I’ve decided I’m going to build most of the café exactly as designed first, before I start customizing it. I think it’ll be much easier to plan where everything should go once I can see the complete space instead of trying to guess along the way.
For now, I’m really enjoying watching this little café slowly take shape—one crafting session at a time.
I love seeing a miniature come to life once the walls and roof are in place. Your idea of building it first and customizing it afterwards makes a lot of sense. I can’t wait to see your personal touches!
